The Pryor & Son Auction Company had it’s beginning 34 years ago when K. Richard Pryor graduated from Superior Auction School in Decatur, Illinois. And today, Richard and Sandra Pryor, along with their five children, 1 daughter-in-law, 3 sons-in-law, and 12 grandchildren  and 5 great grand children are all a part of this unique family business.

   As a licensed real estate salesman since 1972, Richard has helped area citizens with their appraisal, auction and real estate needs for over 30 years.  He is a real estate salesman with B. Apperson Realty.  Specialties of the auction company include a full auction and appraisal service for farm, home, business, antiques, estates and real estate. We also offer the use of our auction center for complete estates or consignment items.

    Steve, the youngest son, has been a licensed auctioneer since 1987, and today, Richard and Steve make up one of the leading father/son auctioneer teams in Southeastern Ohio.  The regular crew at the auctions are daughter Sherry as the cashier, her husband Brad the clerk and son J.C. is the carrier.  Always available to help out when the need arises is the oldest son, Richard W., daughters, Jackie and Pam, and daughter-in-law Janie are always about to help in the event of an emergency. Sherry also is the webmaster of this site and is the "secretary" for the business.  Sons-in-law, Ronald, Tim are always eager to assist in any way such as helping get an estate ready for auction or helping carry on the day of the sale. The 12 grandchildren, Casey, Cassie, Amanda, Cortney, A.J., Danah, Malorie, Chelsea, J.C., Morgan, Laura and Dylan are always willing to help out grandpa and grandma for a little money in their pockets!!
